Description

Reporting to the Site Manager and/or Team Leader, you will be responsible for commissioning and maintaining coaxial network infrastructures and equipment for both private and business customers.


Main Activities

  • Prepare and carry out n intervention from start to finish
  • Understand and analyse the intervention file
  • Determine the material requirements for the intervention
  • Install cables and perform network connections
  • Carry out cable pulling
  • Locate and repair faults and/or defects
  • Diagnose, test, and repair a line
  • Maintain good relations with the customer
  • Work outdoors on the network and public areas

Profile

  • Knowledge of coaxial networks and cabling principles
  • Proficiency in cable pulling and connection techniques
  • Ability to diagnose and repair technical faults
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in French

Telecom Design Engineer

As a Telecom Design Engineer, you’ll be in charge of setting and managing design standards for all types of telecom sites—on rooftops, towers, poles, and more. Your main job is to ensure these sites are designed safely, efficiently, and according to legal and engineering standards.

You will:

  • Define all technical site requirements, from foundations to antennasupports.
  • Work with architects, structural engineers, site teams, and design specialists to deliver cost-effective and safe telecom site designs.
  • Review sketches, drawings, calculations, and test plans.
  • Be the escalation point to customers regarding site design issues.

A key part of your role is to assess how telecom equipment affects the strength and stability of existing or new masts, towers, rooftops, or buildings. You will also train subcontractors and staff on proper design standards, perform quality checks on their work, and make decisions when there are technical disagreements or unclear information.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Train and guide design subcontractors, tenants, and site engineers.
  • Work closely with people, present your ideas clearly, and assess others’ ideas fairly.
  • Have strong knowledge of telecom site design and manage relateddocumentation.
  • Lead the design process using your technical, time management, andcommercial awareness.
  • Advise all stakeholders on technical design requirements and standards.
  • Motivate teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective designs.
  • Make sure all designs follow current regulations and standards.
  • Deliver design work on time and at the right quality.
  • Identify and reduce health, safety, and financial risks early in the designphase.
  • Perform quality control checks on:
    • Supplier plans (antenna and frame layouts)
    • Load and deformation analysis of existing structures
    • Wind/snow load calculations (based on height and location)
    • Stability checks per Eurocode and Belgian standards
    • Provide technical support to project managers, tenants, and site managers.
    • Follow up on inspection results, structural re-checks, and recalculations.
    • Give expert advice when there’s damage, repair needs, or complaints aboutstructural integrity.

 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Engineering diploma or relevant degree.
  • Experience with structural calculations and tower reinforcements (ideally in telecom or steel construction).
  • Strong knowledge of Eurocodes (EN 1990, 1991-1-4, 1993) and NBN standards.
  • Can read and interpret technical drawings and use AutoCAD or Revit.
  • Understands structural connections (bolts, anchors, etc.) and how loads are distributed.
  • Accurate, analytical, and solutions-focused.
  • Strong communicator, capable of writing technical notes independently.

 

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience with telecom operators like Proximus, Telenet, Orange, or tower companies.
  • Experience working at height or in tight urban sites.
  • Familiarity with site monitoring or supervising construction.
  • Knowledge of urban development permits or related processes.

Senior Field Engineer

Description :

FUNCTION:
The Senior Field Engineer is a Network and Infrastructure Technician. He is responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of network equipment such as routers, switches and patch panels. It also keeps the network equipment database up to date and ensures correct patch cord numbering. Finally, he is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and security of the data centers. Key skills for this position include a strong knowledge of communications networks, the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues, and attention to detail.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up and maintain cabling infrastructure, such as patch cables and patch cabinets (fiber optics and UTP)
• Install and test data and telecommunications cables + identify faults on cabling
• Maintain and replace damaged cables
• Document cabling installations
• Number patch cords and maintain an up-to-date network equipment database
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and codes
• Install, configure and maintain network equipment, such as routers, switches and firewalls
• Troubleshoot network issues and provide technical support to users
• Collaborate with technical teams to identify opportunities to improve network deployment and maintenance processes
• Effectively communicate technical information to colleagues and end-customers.

 

Relationships:
• Report to the Infra Active Manager
• Builds strong team relationships with CC Teams :(W)LAN/UCC/Video & IoT)

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE
• + 10 years experience in a Network & Infrastructure Technician or computer/networking background and prior work experience in a network and data center environment
• Expertise in:
– structured cabling
– fiber optics, connectors and test equipment
– telecom equipment
• Knowledge in electricity (connections of equipment on the powers)
• Knowledge of basic Cisco commands to perform a first diagnosis and do tests
• Eager to learn to assimilate new learning quickly (essential)
• Performs well under pressure and in disruptive environments where priorities can change in response to end-customer demand
• End-customer expectations and always aims to leave the end-customers feeling valued and overall positive about the customer
• Work independently and as part of a team
• Good verbal and written communication skills to clearly communicate technical information to colleagues and end-customers.
• Willing to work outside normal working hours to ensure network equipment is in good working order and issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
• Driving license is mandatory
• A professional van will be made available
• Fluent in French and good knowledge of Dutch

Poste de chargé d’activité déploiement (Energie)

Description:

Le responsable pôle déploiement régional (RPRD) alloue les ressources du pôle en fonction des projets de déploiement à réaliser sur son périmètre. Dans ce cadre, le/la Chargé(e) d’Activité Déploiement mène à bien les activités confiées et pilotées par les Coordinateurs/trices Projet Opérationnel (CPO).

Il/elle réalise les prescriptions, les contrôles et les validations de livrables. Il/elle contribue à mener à bien les projets déploiement, en support du CPO responsable de bout en bout.
Il/elle assume ces activités dans le cadre de la politique générale de l’entreprise.

 

Activités principales :

  • Prescrire les tâches internes ou externes nécessaires à l’avancement des projets,
  • Produire les livrables internalisés (Compte Rendu Visite Technique, Etude de Faisabilité avant-Projet Détaillé, …),
  • Contrôler la bonne prise en compte et l’avancement des tâches internes ou externes prescrites,
  • Valider les livrables délivrés par les autres acteurs internes ou externes,
  • Garantir la bonne mise à jour en temps réel des portails Nextgen, des référentiels et bases de données pour faciliter le reporting,
  • Participer aux sessions de lancement des projets auxquels il/elle participe et mettre en œuvre les décisions prises, en matière de planification des ressources, de logistique,
  • Alerter les Coordinateurs/trices Projet Opérationnel en cas de risque de dérive des délais ou de non qualité,
  • S’assurer auprès des RPS de la maîtrise Juridique des Sites et identifier les démarches à entreprendre pour garantir les déploiements dans les règles d’urbanisme (DP, PC, DIM, DIB, …),
  • Garantir le respect des règles de sécurité et l’établissement de plan de prévention,
  • Proposer auprès des Coordinateurs/trices Projet Opérationnel du Pôle Régional de Déploiement des solutions pour ordonnancer la production au regard des éventuelles contraintes spécifiques identifiées localement (priorisations attendues par le client régional, …),
  • Proposer des solutions techniques alternatives, viables sur le plan technico-économique aux Coordinateurs/trices Projet Opérationnel du pôle,
  • Participer et animer par délégation des points réguliers d’avancement vers les équipes opérationnelles ou les équipes de nos sous-traitants,
  • Dans le cadre de la mise en œuvre des projets, veiller au respect des CCTG et des CCTP (Cahier des Charges des Travaux Général et Technique) édictés par l’entreprise.
